Mushroom-based beauty products are the Next Big Thing

Mushrooms are having their moment. We are seeing the beginnings of a wellspring of attention for mushroom teas, elixirs and wellness products, and now they are coming to beauty. The beauty brand Origins, for example, is offering a moisturizing eye serum that features a mushroom blend which they claim reduces the appearance of under eye puffiness and helps visibly diminish dark circles. According to the company, Reish mushroomsi have a 7000 year history of use. Referred to as the “Mushroom of Immortality”, it’s believed to have life-extending properties and is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to heal, improve health and promote longevity.
