Art in unusual places trend: Beached whale sculpture on the banks of London's Thames
Last week a 17-meter (56-foot) sperm whale was beached close to Cutty Sark Gardens on the south side of London. This super-real art installation is the work of the Belgian arts collective Captain Boomer, created in collaboration with Zephyr Wildlife Reconstruction. This beaching is a reminder that the sea is always a presence in London and is part of the GDIF2013 Festival.
