DogTV: The first network to air programming exclusively tailored to dogs
While this may seem like a joke to many, DogTV has just inked a deal with US-based DirecTV to offer 24/7 content to subscribers for $4.99 a month, signaling that the service has gone mainstream. In the Western world especially, pets are being pampered with increasing fervor, a trend that seems to be on an upward trajectory. DogTV produces original content that is said to entertain pooches while their owners are otherwise occupied. Shows are short, each lasting just three to six-minutes, proving once and for all that dogs are indeed attention deficient.
