Face recognition payment system now lets you pay with a smile

The future is now. Uniqul, a Finnish-built first face recognition payment system enables customers to pay without having a wallet, card or mobile phone. At the store's register, simply smile and click "OK." In the background, algorithms process your biometrical data to find your account and make the transaction, which takes less than 5 seconds. To use the service, customers register their credit cards on the Uniqul system, which then takes care of the rest. The system will be testing in the Helsinki area. Another intrusion on our privacy, sure. But that's the price of progress, right?
