Hotel chain lets professionals book a couch to work from
Marriott has teamed up with workspace booking app LiquidSpace to offer Workspace on Demand, which invites anyone to book a place to work or meet, just like a hotel room. The flexible spaces are easy to find and reserve using the online app, which lets you search for participating Marriott, Renaissance, and Courtyard hotels in your state. The service, which is currently in Beta with over thirty participating hotels across the U.S., offers a range of price options. Couches, communal tables, and media pods are typically available for free, while there is an hourly charge for conference rooms and business centers. The detailed listings provide lots of information about the workspaces, including how many people can work there, whether there are outlets for plugging in your laptop, if it has complimentary wi-fi or printing facilities, and what food and drink options are available.
