Vending machines aim to democratize 3D printing
The Dreambox is a 3D-printing vending machine on the UC Berkeley campus. Need the perfect pair of earrings or cufflinks to complement your party attire for the evening? Don't scour shopping malls; just send a model to a 3D printer and pick it up a few hours later. Many universities are already offering 3D printers for students' use, but there are usually time limits and long lines to use them. Odds are that we will soon be seeing 3D printers at Kinko's and other local copy shops.
