Seattle is set to grow an edible urban forest
Located just 2.5 miles from downtown, Beacon Food Forest is designed to grow food, draw people together, and rehabilitate the local ecosystem. The land management system mimics a woodland ecosystem but substitutes edible trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals for other kinds of plants.
