Vinyl revival in full swing as mainstream stores start selling records and turntables
The American clothing chain Urban Outfitters started selling records and turntables recently and is reporting brisk sales. Now the upscale supermarket chain Whole Foods is getting in on the action, stocking vinyl LPs in California stores as a test before a possible nationwide rollout. The stores are also stocking LSTN Headphones which, like TOMS shoes, gives to charity for every pair sold. Whole Foods will be offering a wide selection of records, including Frank Sinatra, the Rolling Stones, Daft Punk and Bob Marley.
