Virgin looks to make cruising hip with an onboard tattoo parlour
Passengers on board Virgin’s first ever cruise ship Scarlet Lady can get the ultimate souvenir from their holiday; a nautical themed tattoo. Richard Branson launched the new cruise ship in Dover this week, which comes with the world’s first tattoo parlour at sea. The aptly named ‘Squid Ink’ parlour will have two full-time resident tattoo artists who can create a host of nautical inkings for guests (or of course, accommodate your own designs). We’re not talking temporary tattoos you can wash off when you get home - these are very real, permanent designs. Virgin has partnered with World Famous Tattoo for the new venture, and previously revealed that they already had a line-up of celebrity guest artists including Spike TV’s Ink Master star Sarah Miller, surrealist specialist artist Arlo DiCristina and illustrative specialist Jime Litwalk.
