Customizable 3D-printing gets easier as eBay joins the trend

Regular readers of WikiTrend know that 3D printing is the Next Big Thing, but actually getting something made has not yet been the easiest. Now Internet behemoth eBay is jumping in, inviting users to unleash their creativity by customizing select products to create exactly what you want. It's all done through an iPhone app called eBay Exact. Select a product, choose a design, and add your own personal flair to create a unique item for yourself. eBay partnered with Sculpteo, MakerBot, and Hot Pop Factory, three leaders in 3D printing technology, to offer a range of products including, iPhone cases, figurines, and jewelry.
