In Louisiana, a new Brewery Trail promotes driving from bar to bar

While New York State government is promoting safe driving by installing "Texting Zones" along their highways (see our previous trend piece), the state of Louisiana is trending in the opposite direction, promoting their penchant for drinking and driving with a Louisiana Brewery Trail website that encourages beer tourism. "This is the kind of thing that Louisianans will be interested in," said Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne, "And the motoring public coming through Louisiana will also be able to take advantage." Already, drinking in cars is permitted in Louisiana, and there are many drive-through bars, though it is illegal for motorists to drive drunk.
