No-frills business class is coming to an airplane near you
Senior travel and tourism executives are at the World Travel Market this week, one of the largest annual travel conferences. A consensus is building there that the world needs a cheaper version of business class and that these cabins will start to take shape in the next year. In fact, the service already exists on budget Middle Eastern airlines like Flydubai (pictured) and Jazeera Airways. It's a model that is working and will likely be extended by carriers around the globe. Will this trend change the way people travel? The likely answer is yes, as travelers who were previously shut out of the front cabins finally find a place for themselves up front with budget-minded high-fliers.
