Personalized private skincare advice from digitized public images
We have already spotlighted in-store computer screens, and even vending machines, that are capable of analysing your face and clothes, and then offering style and make-up suggestions. Now an app called Beautiful Me does something similar, right from your own home. Connect to Facebook and it looks at up to 500 of your online photos, analyzes your skin tone and health, then offers a personalized skincare report including, of course, recommendations for products that will suit you best. The coolest feature is one that shows how your skin has changed over time. Personalization is a major social trend that people are coming to expect. Supplying this from the analysis of massive collections of public personal data is a masterstroke that will power buying decisions from health products to vacation packages for many years to come.
