Virtual Reality bikes come to high-tech Singapore gyms
Singapore’s most innovative and high-tech gym is about to open its doors to the public, and it is set to redefine the way you look at fitness. The gym which is Pure Fitness’s newest outlet at Ngee Ann City is debuting the world’s first stationary bike featuring virtual reality (VR) technology. The gym has numerous outlets in Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai. Their VR bikes are probably the most novel piece of equipment in the gym, which doesn’t just put you through a virtual reality cycling experience, it gamifies the whole thing to give you an extra challenge. Imagine peddling to keep up with and capture cowboys, or peddling around a pond to feed ducks. Of course it captures data such as pedal speed and heart rate while you’re at it too.
