High-tech apparel trend: Fashion meets the future
We're seeing lots of high-tech clothing options created now, from 3D-printed shoes that dynamically adapt to your movement in real-time, to shirts that communicate with brand headquarters to track how and where you wear it. While not quite as jaw-droppingly obvious, UK fashion company HotSquash is offering two lines of sportswear created with "space age" materials that are as functional as they are stylish. Made for winter, the Warm Collection is engineered with hollow-core fibres that trap air and claim to keep wearers twice as warm as wool. In summer, the Cool Collection is made with fibres that react to the body's temperature to wick off heat. The trend in high-tech clothing seems to be heating up.
