Wearable computing trend now extends to shirts that track your mood
Regular readers of WikiTrend are well aware of the impending wearable computing trend, in which we will be continuously tracking our biometrics in hope for better mental and physical health. We've already seen a host of bracelets as well as smart socks and hats. Now OMsignal is producing shirts and other apparel with embedded sensors that monitor your heart rate, breathing and activity, all while the connected app displays your data in real-time on your mobile phone. Most interestingly, the technology claims to detect your emotional well-being using the variability in the intervals of time between heartbeats. It can also notify you when you are relaxed or stressed so you can discover patterns in your day.
