Forget about curb appeal. The newest trend in real estate is “kid appeal.” Real estate agents and home designers like are appealing to the smallest members of a home buying family, who often have the loudest voices. Kids are very vocal about what they like and what they don’t like, and parents are listening to them. “Buying a new house is like love at first sight. And it’s very important for kids to feel good in the house,” said one real estate agent. In response, some builders are including cool extras like indoor swings and teepee rooms.
