In NYC, art meets gaming and technology with amazing QR code treasure hunt

The 13 Portals is an interactive street art experience combining technology, art, urban space and community. Artists Pérola Bonfanti and Nicolina of The Free Art Society are creating 13 site-specific, hand painted murals. Each mural appears in an abandoned doorway every Saturday accompanied by a theatrical happening and a chance to score one of 64 keys. The project began July 13th, and will continue until October. The 13 Portals will culminate in an event with all the key holders invited to a unique, as-yet-unknown experience. We love it. Click below to see the murals.
