Russia gets an AI news anchor

A Chinese TV station already has one. Now, Sogou, a leader in China's internet industry, is creating a Russian-speaking AI news anchor developed through a partnership with ITAR-TASS, Russia's leading news agency, and Xinhua News Agency, the national news agency of China. The AI anchor incorporates the latest advances in speech synthesis, image detection and prediction capabilities, which translates into seamless interaction between humans and machines and a more natural viewing experience for audiences by incorporating lifelike expressions, gestures and mannerisms.
