The northeastern United States is just coming out of one of the worst winters in recent memory, with a record number of snow days that stretched from late autumn to just last week. For dog lovers, one of the biggest fashion trends from Boston and Philadelphia to New York City and Washington, DC, has been the rise of the dog boot: colorful, reusable rubber booties meant to keep pets' paws clean and dry. Because they are made of natural rubber, are completely biodegradable, and come in bright fashionable colors, the trendiest brand this year has been a flexible, reusable bootie called Pawz. While we don't know if this brand will continue to find success, we are sure that the tipping point has come for fashionable winter doggie footwear and expect to see many more entries in this category in the winters to come.
