Crowd-sourced apps now inform you in real-time about how crowded stores are
By sourcing the crowds, Google maps can already tell you how busy roads are. And other apps are popping up that show which trains are packed. Next up? Avoid The Shopping Crowds, a crowd-sourced real-time app for people who like to avoid busy stores. Currently only offering data for a few shops in the Netherlands, the app is a harbinger for things to come, along with the advent of "indoor GPS" that will let customers easily find their way around vast shopping centers and supermarkets.
