Home virtual assistants are becoming more human-like
At the moment, in order to tell our virtual assistants to do something, we still have say something like "Alexa, tell X to do Y". But this is changing so that you can ask any question or make any request in natural language, and Alexa will connect to the appropriate skill automatically. For example if you say "what are the surf conditions at Collaroy Beach", Alexa will read information directly from the Coast Watch skill. This technology is already working for thousands of skills. So what happens when Alexa still doesn't know how to help with your request, or you don't know how to ask for what you need? You should be able to just keep talking, like you would when clarifying something to a friend, and Alexa will learn.
