Always mobile: New Yorkers getting free, solar-powered phone charging stations

As part of an ongoing effort to keep New Yorkers connected, the city is creating Street Charge, an initiative to provides free solar mobile charging stations in locations across all five boroughs where the public can charge their phones, tablets and other mobile devices. Between now and the end of summer, AT&T will deploy approximately 25 solar mobile charging units.
