In the US, trend towards employers paying for pet health insurance

Not only is pet health insurance a thing, but it is such a desirable benefit to some that employers are starting to pay attention. Recognizing that employees are having fewer children, and spending more time with pets, several American employers, including Chipotle Mexican Grill and MGM Resorts International, are now offering pet health insurance as part of a pay package.
